Officers Iceton and Lowther were honoured to be invited to an inspirational talk by Dr Fiona Hill held at Bishop Barrington School where she spoke to students and guests about her life from growing up in Bishop Auckland and attending Bishop Barrington to becoming a senior US Presidential Advisor.

Inspector Lonsdale and Sergeant Ord hosted our monthly Councillors drop in at Bishop Auckland Police Station in company with our colleagues from Durham County Council which is an opportunity to discuss the local area, activities and results. #partnershipworking

Officer Stoddart took part in a walkabout as part of a Time Limited Project that is currently in place for Eldon Lane to take positive action in the area. Areas for development were identified and multi-agency work is ongoing with Durham County Council to address ongoing work in the area.

Officers conducted a joint operation with partner agencies, conducting checks at car wash establishments in the Bishop Auckland area. Checks were conducted with the employees to confirm they held correct documentation to be working in the UK. Some individuals were removed from the premises as not having the correct working visa and follow up actions will be conducted by immigration services.

Bishop Auckland Neighbourhood Policing team assisted the RSPCA with a magistrate’s search warrant at an address in Eldon on Wednesday. Three dogs were removed from the address as a result of this with an RSPCA investigation ongoing.

Officers Sewell and Lowther were called to an incident of Affray. Following an extensive foot-chase, the male was detained and arrested. Following checks with the force control room, it was established that the male was also wanted for a string of serious offences in another force area. #result

Officer Atkinson’s drop-in session at Tindale Starbucks that was previously arranged for 27th June at 14:00hrs has been rescheduled to Monday 11th July at 14:00hrs.

REMINDER - PACT meeting for Dene Valley is being held on 30th June, 6pm at Heritage Café.

REMINDER – PACT meeting for Coundon and Leeholme is to be held on Thursday 30th June, 7pm at Coundon Workingmen’s Club.

REMINDER – PACT meeting for Bishop Town, Toronto, Cockton Hill, South Church and Henknowle residents is to be held on Wednesday 13th July, 6:30pm at Sam Zair Café on Fore Bondgate.
