Theft of WW1 commemorative silhouette

Alert message sent 05/11/2018 15:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Durham Constabulary

Afternoon,
I am currently investigating the theft of one of The British Legion Silhouettes from outside of ASDA, near the steps opposite the Louisa Centre. The silhouettes were made to mark the final year of World War One centenary, as a way to say "Thank You" to those who served, sacrificed, rebuilt and changed our nation. The one stolen was the image of a sailor and was approximately 4' 6" high.
If you have any information then please ring police on 101 and quote CRI00160415 and your local council and the police would be most grateful if it could be located before Sunday.
Thanks,
PC 1296 Paul Walmsley
