PCSO Steph Stoddart - Eldon Lane Time Limited Project

I am PCSO 8975 Steph Stoddart and am covering the Dene Valley area.

There is currently a Time Limited Project in place for Eldon Lane with the goal of taking positive action to ensure public safety, promote reassurance to the community and make change within the area.

This is in collaboration with our partner agencies with several departments within Durham County Council taking part to tackle community safety, environmental health, and anti-social behaviour. In addition to this we are supported by members of the local council and community in this project that will run until September 2022.

On 21st June, a walkabout was conducted with partners to identify ongoing areas for improvement as well as progress that has been made since the project began earlier in the year.

Good advancement has been made with the re-development of many of the properties in the area and this work is ongoing with support from the council to focus on fly-tipping and vacant properties.

An educational day took place in May at Prince Bishop Community Primary School with police staff and the council in attendance engaging with the pupils to promote personal safety, stranger danger, and road safety.

There are preparations being made for activities for residents and their families over the upcoming summer holidays which I am looking forward to getting involved with, keep your eyes peeled for details of these events!

If you see me in the area, please come and say hello.

I would encourage you all to report any concerns you may have to the appropriate agency, please report things to the police on 101 or use the online portal.

You can use the report it online tool for matters which relate to Durham County Council here: doitonline - Durham, this may include fly-tipping, pest-control and bulky waste.

Many Thanks,

PCSO 8975 Stoddart
