Update on Road Safety Issues Where You Live

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding road safety issues including speeding, dangerous driving and parking, which people where you live are highlighting as an issue of concern in their survey responses.

During the busy month of December, PCSO's and local volunteers have been contributing in community speed watch. From the beginning of December to present we have collated some data to highlight the success we have had in catching speeders to ensure that the roads are a safer place for yourselves and the community! Here are some of the results-

December 2nd -
A690 PEASES WAY:
96 Vehicles were observed, 6 vehicles were speeding
HELMINGTON ROW:
86 Vehicles were observed, 13 vehicles were speeding
LOW JOBS HILL:
35 Vehicles were observed, 2 Vehicles were speeding

December 10th-
FIR TREE A68:
112 Vehicles were observed, 3 vehicles were speeding
FIR TREE, SOUTH VIEW:
35 Vehicles were observed, 2 vehicles were speeding
HOWDEN LE WEAR, VALLEY TERRACE:
47 Vehicles were observed, 4 vehicles were speeding

TOTAL:
Vehicles Observed: 490
Speeders: 33
Percentage: 6.7%
