Newton Aycliffe Police Weekly Update

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 🚨

Good evening, here’s a brief overview of what we have been up to over the past week or so;

👮 On Monday, Neighbourhood Officers responded to a shoplifting at a store in Woodham. Within 15 minutes of the call, a male was arrested and transported to custody.

🚓 On Tuesday, Neighbourhood Officers located and arrested a male who was wanted. The male was also driving a car with no insurance at the time, and the car was subsequently seized and recovered.
 

👮‍♀️ In the early hours of New Years Day, a male was arrested for multiple offences including criminal damage, assault and breaching a restraining order following an incident in Honister Place.

🚔 Also, around the same time, a male was arrested on suspicion of assaulting two emergency workers.

❌ The team have responded to several calls of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage over the weekend relating to youths in the town centre. This behaviour will not be tolerated, and we are in the process of identifying those involved and they will be dealt with robustly. Extra patrols are being carried out in this area.

👮 On Saturday, PC Tyers interviewed a male youth in relation to an assault and criminal damage in Woodham. The male admitted to the offences and will be dealt with by working with the Youth Offending Service.
 

🚨 On Sunday morning, a female was arrested on suspicion of assault following a domestic related incident.
