Good Afternoon, 

We sent you a message in 2025 wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We highlighted Road Safety in that message and here is an update:

Durham Police arrested 1️⃣0️⃣9️⃣ people who thought their journey was more important than somebody else's life.

30 people were arrested for drink driving.

61 were arrested for drug driving (cocaine and cannabis).

14 were arrested for being unfit to drive through alcohol or drugs.

4 were arrested for failing to provide a breath test.

Thank you to those who were not selfish this Christmas and arranged a lift or a taxi instead.

You saved lives, kept your job, your licence and our roads safe.
