Consett Neighbourhood Policing Weekly Update Our officers and PCSOs have been busy working hard to keep our communities safe. Recent activity includes: Vehicle Crime PCSOs Mckenna and Burnip located a bike which had been stolen from the Consett Town Centre area a day prior, enquiries are on going. Drugs Warrant Officers from Consett Neighbourhoods executed a warrant in Lanchester following information and concerns raised by members of the public. This resulted in 65 cannabis plants being located. Enquiries are ongoing. Shoplifting While on foot patrol in Consett Town Centre, PCSOs Walker and Burnip assisted response officers after two shoplifters stole from a supermarket. One male attempted to run off but was quickly detained until further officers arrived. Both males were arrested and transported to custody with support from our safeguarding team. PC Fallows and PC Robson later interviewed the males where they secured a successful charge.
Speedwatch Results - PCSOs McKenna and Burnip conducted Speedwatch in: • Leadgate – 0 speeding vehicles • Lanchester – 4 speeding vehicles • Templetown – 5 speeding vehicles
