A 21 year old man has admitted 13 shop thefts across County Durham including Stanley and South Moor. William Carr stole goods worth hundreds of pounds before pleading guilty at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court. He was given a 12 month community and rehabilitation order.Officers attended the Karbon Homes Stanley Area Forum to provide updates and support the community.NPT patrolled Stanley Town Centre during the weekend’s Anti Social Behaviour Dispersal Notice. Officers issued 8 warnings which instructed those responsible for ASB to leave the Town Centre or face arrest and fines.PCSOs assisted Consett NPT in the search for a vulnerable missing person — who was thankfully found safe and well.PCSOs tracked down and located a missing defibrillator that had been removed from Stanley Town Centre in good faith. It was checked and returned ready for the next time it might be needed. Prolific shoplifter Callum Ansell has now been issued with a Community Behaviour Order (CBO).NPT Police officers worked alongside Response officers to arrest a woman on suspicion of child neglect.NPT officers observed a driver reacting to the presence of their Police van and then stopped the driver confirming he had no licence and no insurance. The vehicle was seized and the driver was reported for the offences.Police officers also arrested a male who had been recalled to prison. We’re here for you!
