PC Robson and PC Curtis assisted Durham Roads & Armed Policing with a pursuit that had continued into the Consett area. After a quick decamp, one male was detained and as a second suspect made off on foot, PCSO Connah deployed the drone to help search the area. PC Curtis and PC Robson later sighted two males riding a moped displaying L plates. A stop revealed that the owner had allowed his friend to ride the scooter, who was not insured. Appropriate action was taken.PC Fallows interviewed a youth in relation to a criminal damage offence. A successful charge means they will now have to attend the Youth Offending Service. A vehicle was seized by Neighbourhood Wardens in the Leadgate area for having no tax. Police assistance was required due to a male obstructing the recovery agent. PCSO McKenna and PCSO Burnip recovered a vehicle in the Leadgate area which had been abandoned. Checks showed the vehicle had no current owner, no insurance, no tax or MOT. PC Thompson and PC Wilson have issued two Community Protection Warning Notices to protect a vulnerable male within the Consett area. SGT Kilgallon and PCSO Connah welcomed Stanley Beavers into the station for a tour of the station and police vehicles. The children were given the opportunity to ask questions.
