Operation Drive Officers from the Neighbourhood Team attended an address where a cannabis grow was located with over 200 plants discovered inside the property. Plants and equipment was seized and was later destroyed. Enquiries are ongoing.Operation Hawkeye Officers from the Consett Neighbourhood Team were last week alongside 9 Junior Volunteer Police Cadets carrying out Operation Hawkeye across the Consett area. During the operation, a total of 14 vehicles were found to be unlocked. Please remember to always lock your vehicles and remove valuables to help prevent opportunistic crime.Road Traffic Incidents PC Curtis and PCSO Walker attended a road traffic collision in the Lanchester area. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured and the vehicles were recovered a short time later.A number of accidents were reported on Friday due to the heavy Snowfall in the Consett and Stanley area. Thankfully no one was seriously injured. Retail Crime PCSOs Burnip, Connah and Walker carried out CCTV enquiries in Consett Town Centre following a number of recent shopliftings. PC 9862 Taylor has charged a male with 4 shoplifting offences and he is currently on remand in prison for other unrelated offences.Engagement PCSO 8740 Hart and PCSO 30626 Dixon attended Leadgate Junior School to speak to the children about anti-social behaviour and the consequences of it. PC 9093 and PC 1777 Wilson located a wanted male in Consett Town Centre, he was transported to custody. PC 9862 Taylor interviewed a person in relation to a theft from motor vehicle offence. Investigation is currently ongoing. PCSO 8740 Hart has been conducting enquiries into several burglaries that have occurred in the Burnhope area. Investigations are ongoing into these incidents.
