In the Spotlight.... |
||
|
Hello Resident,
In the spotlight this month…. Officers have been conducting extra operations on our roads as part as Operation Spotlight for the whole of April. We are half way through the month and we have seen positive results. The aim is to protect communities by disrupting criminal activity on the UK road network and reducing the number of people who are killed and seriously injured.
Of course, this work is carried out all year round by our officers at Durham Constabulary however, April we are putting the Spotlight on it and shining it bright!
How you can help as well is if you see someone breaking the law on our roads - REPORT IT. This can be via 101 or online via Durham Police website.
Operation Snap is a scheme that helps to keep our roads as safe as possible. It lets you report possible driving offences you've seen on the roads, such as a vehicle not stopping at a red traffic light. To use Operation Snap, all you have to do is complete an online form telling us what you witnessed and upload any video evidence you have of the offence.
Details of the initiative can be found here Operation Snap | Durham Constabulary
Thank you and Stay Safe
