Newton Aycliffe Police Update

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 🚨

Good evening, here is a brief review of what we have been up to over the past week.

🚓 On Monday evening, a male was arrested by officers on C-Relief on suspicion of assault following an incident in Guthrum Place.

👮 On Tuesday, officers from D-Relief arrested a male on suspicion of a racially aggravated ABH and for resisting arrest and transported to custody.

🚔 Also on Tuesday, officers from D-Relief responded to a report of a 2-year-old child wandering the streets. Fortunately, the child was located shortly after safe and well.
 

🛒 On Wednesday, PCSOs attended the local Shopwatch meeting in the town centre, engaging with our local shopkeepers and sharing information.
 

🛍️ A local well-known shoplifter was charged with several offences and recalled to prison.

🗣️ On Wednesday, a local youth was interviewed by NPT officers and sent to work with the Youth Offending Team following incidents of criminal damage and public order in the town centre.

🚗 On Friday, a male was arrested by officers on E-Relief for driving whilst disqualified following an incident at Tesco. The vehicle was then subsequently recovered too by officers from the Road Policing Unit.

🔍 On Saturday, NPT officers assisted A- Relief looking for a high-risk missing person. Fortunately, they were located fit and well shortly after the report was made.
