Below are a couple of examples of the proactive work being carried out by your local policing team over the last few days. While we understand we may not always be highly visible, please be assured that there is always lots of work happening behind the scenes. We appreciate that not everyone is able to attend our PACT meetings, so we wanted to share some positive news
Officers stopped a vehicle in. The driver initially made off from the vehicle but was quickly located and detained. Further enquiries revealed the driver had no driving licence, failed a roadside drug test, and drugs were subsequently recovered from the vehicle, he was subsequently arrested and will be put before the court
On Halloween night, officers also stopped a male youth found to be carrying fireworks, this was following concerns being raised around anti-social behaviour on Potto Street. He is being dealt with robustly
We are also aware of the increase in bikes/e-scooters in Shotton and have viewed evidence of them being ridden in a dangerous and antisocial manner. We are working to identify each rider and appropriate action will be taken for each individual involved
We would like to thank residents for their continued support and for reporting issues to us. Your information helps us identify concerns, target problem areas, and achieve positive results.
