Durham Area Action Partnership are looking for Public Representatives

Would you like to work alongside local councillors and representatives of local organisations to play a key part of the AAPs decision making process? 

Are you keen to get involved and have your say and don’t mind committing a little bit of time every month to Board business? 

Public Representatives serve for a four year term and Durham County Council are currently looking to recruit new people onto the AAP Board.

Key parts of the role include:
  • Attending Board meetings and working with other Board members
  • Making decisions on funding applications made to the AAP
  • Participating in discussions and consultations on key local issues. (Examples of recent consultations/discussions include the new Durham Bus Station, changes to the Police Force’s Custody Suites and the Durham History Centre at Mount Oswald).
  • Reflecting the views of your community at Board meetings.
  • Participating in focused Task Groups on local issues

If you would like to apply, there will be an application to complete, all forms will need to be returned to Craig Morgan no later than 12 noon on 11th February 2021. 

Informal interviews for the Public Representative positions will be held week beginning 15th February 2021 (but this can be flexible, if necessary)
