A brief summary of what your Neighbourhood Policing Team have been up to this last week: 👇🏾

🔷Twice this week residents of Willington will have seen the police helicopter hovering overhead. Officers from Crook and other stations assisted by NPAS (national police air service) searched for and subsequently located a male on 2 separate occasions who was wanted in relation to domestic incidents.

🔷 We have had our Speedwatch initiative out across various locations this week. A number of vehicles have been caught travelling above the speed limit and will be dealt with accordingly.

🔷 Officers from Crook NPT have been working closely with Believe Housing to address issues caused by residents. Last week saw us conducting joint visits across the area.

🔷A number of CPW's (community protection warning) have been issued to residents in the local area as a way of tackling incidents of ASB. A CPW is a document that outlines certain conditions that the recipient and household must adhere to, it is the prelude to a CPN (community protection notice)
Breaching the conditions set out in a CPN can result in fixed penalty notices being issued as well as court orders being put in place.

🔷Residents in Crook may have noticed a large police presence on Thursday. This was in response to an incident that took place where 2 males were subsequently arrested. 1 for a number of offences including a section 18 assault.
Investigations are on going.

🔷This week as seen a number of operations across the South of the county where PC's and PCSO's from Crook NPT have assisted. All operations have been successful.

🔷Officers responded to an incident on Saturday night involving a number of intoxicated Youths fighting in Hope Street. Alcohol was seized and some youths were taken home and dealt with accordingly.

👮🏼‍♀️ If you want to have your say then please join us on Wednesday the 31st of March at our iPACT. We really do need the public to help identify issues in the community.
